Kerryn & Bridy’s Winter Wellness Retreat Piha 2021

Wow, how lucky are Kerryn & I!

I can’t believe how incredibly grateful I feel to have spent the day with gorgeous wahine out at Piha, Auckland this past winter.

You know what? We put this day on for Bella, Kelly, Nichola and Mickayla so they could relax, refresh and be inspired to prioritise self-care and their wellness. But guess what happened? Kerryn and I felt so nourished ourselves! Our happy cups were overflowing by the end of that day because we love love loved every moment.

True to our intention we explored practical ways to take time out for self-care. We glided through these nourishing wellness topics: aromatherapy, yoga, journaling, followed by hot tub time, a massage and a foot soak listening to the waves crash against Lion Rock - because who doesn’t love a good pamper session to pause from our busy lives?

The nutritious food filled our bellies and we laughed! A LOT! Far out what we didn’t expect was the abundance of heartfelt conversation that flowed as the wood burner crackled away that blustery, chilly Saturday.

These women inspired KERRYN AND I with their resilience. These ladies felt open to share and receive the groups support for some tough life stuff. They truly are admirable in their devotion to the humans they love and serve every day.

Beautiful Orla guided us through a gentle yoga flow that resonated with the whole group and relaxed our stressed-out bodies. I reeeallly freakin love the fact that we had a yoga virgin at our retreat too!

Oooooo oils, oils, oils……so luxurious to be feeling, sensing, soaking in 100% pure essential oils with benefits that are off the charts therapeutic. Oils are woven throughout our retreats…you’ll find them in our massages, workshops, goodie bags and diffusing in the air spaces.

Listen up, when you experience these amazing little plant oils and discover through exploration the ones that call to you, that resonate and uplift or calm you, you will wonder how you never knew about this….its like a secret.

Earthy, flowery, fruity, sweet smells take you on a journey of healing and self-love. Kerryn is totally all about oils and smiles from ear to ear describing how Blue Tansy, Marjoram, Peppermint and other magical botanicals enhance the lives of wellness seekers.

Self-care doesn’t have to be about fancy retreats and foot soaks… it’s about taking good care of your precious mind body and spirit and ultimately developing a deep sense of self-respect.

The way you treat yourself (How you eat, how you move, how you think and what you surround yourself with) is a reflection of how you feel about yourself. Am I worth treating myself with the utmost respect? Hella YES!!

Kerryn and I love how bringing a bunch of like-minded lovelies together can act as a reminder of how good it feels to prioritise our self-care. There’s this neat energy that unfolds when those convos flow between peeps who are floating on the same wavelength. You know what I mean? It’s refreshing and uplifting and can unexpectedly take a big weight off your shoulders sometimes.

Anywho, we can’t wait to get on with planning our next gig - Kerryn and Bridy’s Spring Self Care Retreat….its gonna be a goodie….my parasympathetic nervous system is already activated as I plan the sleep workshop component. Ooooh yeah, you didn’t even know there were ancient ways to help you snooze better.
